  1. TxEd Demo                        July 29 1986

  3.     This is a demonstration copy of Microsmiths text editor, TxEd.  The
  4. demo version does not allow you to SAVE or PRINT a file, but is otherwise
  5. the same as V1.3 of TxEd.
  6.  
  7.     If you are interested in getting a fully functional copy of TxEd,

  12.     TxEd was designed as an efficient utility editor, which can be used
  13. for simple word processing and memos, or in conjunction with communications
  14. programs when dialing services like BIX and Compuserve, or as a programmers
  15. editor.
  16.     TxEd is very easy to use - most users are able to learn how to use
  17. TxEd very quickly.
  18.     TxEd was designed to save you time every time you use it - it loads
  19. quickly, has the fastest screen updates available in any Amiga text editor
  20. currently available, and has very fast file load and save.  There are many
  21. other details which were designed to allow you to edit quickly and easily with
  22. TxEd.  We invite you to test TxEd to find out how much time you can save using
  23. it compared with other editors and word processers - and find out why many
  24. people that spend half of their working hours editing prefer to use TxEd over
  25. other editors and word processers that have more "features" but which use up
  26. much more of their valuable time.
  27.     Included with TxEd is a very good public domain text formatter, PROFF,
  28. which will allow you to do many word processing functions which are not
  29. available directly in TxEd.  PROFF allows bolding, underlining, justification,
  30. table of contents, and many other features.

  32.     Version 1.3 of TxEd is the third release of TxEd.  Microsmiths policy
  33. is to provide updates to TxEd for a small fee; to update from earlier versions
  34. to V1.3 we charged $7 with return of disk, or $10 for a new disk.  We are
  35. relying on customer satisfaction to spread the word about TxEd and our future
  36. Amiga products, and plan to thank our current customers for their support by
  37. giving them special discounts on our future products.
